So why in the FUCK did Chapter Approved increase the cost of it by another 500 points to 2,000 points and give it no additional rules or changes to it in compensation?

And at least it was still kind of fun to play from time to time, I do love my model after all. To be honest I was just kind of OK with it that way, Forge World messed up and made the thing just too expensive, or would need to give it a bit more killing power or something in a later edition. There is no situation I can think of where I would ever want the Warhound over 3 Shadowswords, they are harder to remove with 3 of them, and deal more damage to all target types, and mobility doesn't matter much when you got 3 of these bad boys covering the entire board in fields of fire. So you could take 3 fucking Shadowswords for the cost of 1 Warhound. However the Shadowsword is less than 1/3rd of the index cost of the Warhound. So if we compare them, one has a better gun, better accuracy, and better titan killing damage, along side a good invulnerable save for the first turn at least of the game. If you also slap on 1 set of sponson weapons, you get 2 lascannons and 3 heavy bolters in addition, and you end up at 472 points. The Shadowsword tank from IG has a Volcano Cannon which has a similar number of shots and damage output as my Warhound. If my big guys role is that of 'Big stuff slayer!' then let's compare him to another super heavy with that role. However if you look at what he did at 1,500 points vs a similar role unit then you can start to see the problem. His melee attacks, are not great, much worse than a Knight Titans for example, and he isn't that impossible to kill, though he is pretty tough. On my other arm I have the Vulcan Mega Bolt Cannon, which is like a big ass mini gun that shoots a butt load of anti-marine bullets. He does have a titan killing weapon on one arm, which means if you bring a super heavy, he will do some mean damage to it. I played him in a few large games and it was fun, but it did prove to me I wasn't crazy, he was too expensive. So I happen to own a Warhound Scout Titan, in the original index rules he was 1,500 points, which already seemed not great to me.
